Good product September 6, 2010 This is awesome product for Price, took a chance on this for price as compared to other brands, it is working OK, we took lot photos this summer, used in Canon DSLR and Powershot cameras, speed is OK i think, i have not tested speed, used it on DSLR it worked pretty good. I hope it last as most people have said in reviews.
Excellent value with an unexpected bonus! August 31, 2010 This card functions perfectly, but how much can you say about a memory card? Here is the "unexpected bonus" that I referenced in the subject line:
My PC at home has an external media reader, but the SD port on it does not support SDHC (high-capacity) cards; only standard (non-HC) cards. Because this Transcend card comes with a USB adapter (which allows you to insert the SD card into USB ports), I can now read SDHC cards on my PC using the USB ports! I am very pleased about this.
Shipping was fast, and the product works perfectly!
what a shame! August 28, 2010 It's been a month I purchased this. I bought it for my digital camera. Anyway, I haven't used this memory card much because I've used my camera only a couple of times. But suddenly it stopped working, only saying 'memory card error.' Oh yes, now I remember sometimes it couldn't read the photos I took, so it was like blank in the camera when I looked back for them. Needless to say, all my photos and movies taken are gone! What a shame! I'll give it a try to give this back to Transcend service center, but it's such a waste of time for me...
USB adapter is great to have! August 25, 2010 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My computer is older and does not read SDHC it only reads the older SD format in the card reader slot. With the USB adapter I can get around this and still use the card. Don't buy just the card; spend a few more $ and get the USB adapter and card.
When it comes to the card itself however, my wife who uses the camera a Nikon Coolpix S8000 more than I do says that she cannot tell a difference in the camera speed from the older Sandisk 2g class 2 card we were using.
Works well and not a bad price August 18, 2010 I needed this for my DSLR and it does the job. The only downside is that the reader is plastic and a bit flimsy, but that doesn't bother me too much just yet. If it breaks, I'll have to update this review.
