What more can you ask for? The memory card is sufficiently fast for a prosumer SLR camera. The card reader is a perfect backup/laptop friendly device to supplement my built in reader in my desktop.

I needed a reader for SDHC cards, and when I found this Transcend package with reader and 8GB card, I figured that I couldn't go wrong.
The card and reader are each less robust than other brands; not really an issue, as these really aren't meant to be treated like thumb drives. The reader works with no drivers, reads SDHC cards, and while it isn't blazingly fast, I don't really care. It does what it needs to do.
Transcend's customer support was helpful in getting me the included free (photo recovery tool) download, which required a serial number (not on this special bundle). I emailed them and received an answer the next morning. For customer service, this is just shy of outstanding.
In summary, not as solid in construction as other brands, but treat it gently and it will last, and at one-third the price.
Fast and convenient June 27, 2010
This product is a great deal - not only do you get a fast flash card for your camera, but you also get a convenient card reader that lets you transfer photos to your computer without messing with a tangle of cables. Simple and works great!
