Excellent ! August 24, 2010 Excellent memory card. Super fast as described. Use it for my Canon EOS 7D. No complaints.
Exciting? No. But worth the money. August 24, 2010 What can one say about a Compact Flash Card other than it works as advertised. This large capacity card is used at my company for capturing HD and DV video on a Sony camcorder. No errors, no lost files. It holds about 1 hour of HD video - about the same as a miniDV tape. The best part about using a Compact Flash card is that I do not have to transfer video from tape to PC for editing. I copy the files directly from the card and away I go. I can start editing in half the time.
Fast and High Capacity August 12, 2010 As file sizes increase with shooting RAW, and the speed of the camera's frame rate is increasing, the speed and size of the memory card is getting to be a bottleneck. This card is really fast and can hold 770 RAW images on my Nikon D-300S. With a Firewire 800 card reader this card will speed up your post processing immensely. I get 15 Uncompressed RAW + JPEG images per burst at 8 frames per second. Highly recommended.
fast card August 10, 2010 SanDisk Extreme flash cards meet the needs of high megapixel DSLR cameras. They make possible recording of large files and allow for fast downloads to computer. As with all SanDisk cards they are reliable.
Faster than the camera August 2, 2010 I'm a professional photographer and purchased this card for doing video with a Canon 7d camera. I knew the slow point for video would be the card and if the card wasn't fast enough then the camera wouldn't save the video files correctly.
I didn't realize how fast this card would be though. It works great for video but what amazes me is the speed for still photographs. On other cards I own I can hold down the shutter button and let the camera take picture after picture until the camera's buffer fills up. Eventually the camera has to slow down in taking photographs because the buffer is full because the camera cannot write to the card faster than it takes photos.
This SanDisk Extreme 16gb UDMA card is so fast the buffer never fills, not even with one photograph. I primarily shoot jpg files and have never seen the buffer fill with even one photograph. I don't shoot raw too often but I imagine the same will be true for that too. Blazing fast.
I trust SanDisk to make a reliable product. I only use SanDisk cards and haven't ever had a card failure.
