5 out of 5 stars Kingston works on Macs!   September 5, 2010
The "Geniuses" at the Apple Store are sometimes reluctant to mention anything that isn't apple, but I had a good rep in the store that told me to look and compare aftermarket memory to upgrade my MacBook Pro 17" (mid-2010). He gave me all the specs, and even recommended Kingston (well known name) and this memory matched 100%. Even so, I was a little worried about purchasing it but all those worries went away when my Mac started up just fine. I've been enjoying 8 gigs of ram for a fraction of the cost that Apple puts on their own name brand memory.

If you've never upgraded your own memory on a Mac before, a few tips: Get yourself a Mac Repair Tool Set from powerbookmedic [dot] com. It was only $13 but made it easy to get the screws off the case. Also, when you have the screws all off and are having difficulty getting the case off - BE CAREFUL. You're not going to break anything but while trying to pop the case open I sliced my fingers on the sharp edge of the case while lifting it off.

5 out of 5 stars Sweet memory upgrade   September 1, 2010
I just installed this memory in my macbook pro. In 5 minutes I was up and running with an enormous 8G. This product works great.

I installed this 4gig kit on my late 2008 Macbook unibody. So far so good.

5 out of 5 stars 8G RAM for i7 Macbook Pro   August 22, 2010
The RAM was delivered in 3 working days to Australia. Put it in the new MBP, and has worked a treat. I highly recommend this Ram for any Mac Book Pro running i7.

5 out of 5 stars Works flawlessly with 2010 MBP Core i5 15inch   August 22, 2010

Nothing much to say hat it works perfect in the MBP. Most RAM are the same given you have the correct voltage and latency. This product is tested before it ships so you should have no problems with it. Make sure to buy it from Amazon, some other sellers you cannot trust
