 Great Power August 21, 2010
I was having intermittent power issues with my PC, and thought it was my old PS. So I did a lot of research before buying this one as I didn't want a PS that wasn't up to the task. Turns out I had a capacitor issue with my motherboard. So the power supply replacement was unwarranted. Needless to say this PS is now residing in a new PC. Works great, is very quiet, and does what it is suppose to do.
 Works good first one was DOA July 29, 2010
The first power supply I got worked one day, and it so happened to fail the day after I put it in, I was on a plane to Canada to meet with our owners; my boys had to wait a week until I came back home.
The replacement works fine, before my cheap old one you use to hear it, now I can't hear the PC and its not in any expensive case. I would even say the system performance has improved, especially video output; it could also be I looking at it differently, just like when you fix one thing on your car, you find the whole car works better.
Amazon handled the return perfectly, no issues.
Puts out more power July 10, 2010
I gave this PSU 4 stars only because I received my first one DOA. Amazon exchange policy was excellent and received my second one before I even mailed out my first one. Once installed it is bullet proof and actually puts out more power than 400w. ([...]) They actually pulled 483w out of it. This is a great PSU, especially for the price. It's quiet, cool and has plenty of long connections. It only has one pcie connection but if you need two you should probably be looking for a bigger PSU. I run an AMD 235e and an HD5750 with it and I have some headroom left in it.
Almost completely silent July 6, 2010
I changed my power supply so that I can get a higher performing video card to install in my computer (AMD dual core with Win7, 4 gigs, 1 Terabyte HD, 1.5 Terabyte External, 2 DVD, Nvida 8400GS and tweaked. This PSU did not disappoint. It was easy to install, it is very quiet, and now the fans that I hear are the original 2 fans that came with the original computer and those were quiet as well. I am very happy with the performance and it has been working flawlessly. If you are changing PSU you should consider this one in your list.

I had two 300 Watt ATX power supplies: one in an HP 600 series computer running Vista Home Premium (2009) and an E machines T-3256 2002 computer runiing XP service pack 2 with a 20 pin motherboard connector. What I like about these 400 Watt ATX Corsair power supplies is the energy efficiency(both computers use about 8 Watts less electricity than before), the big fan for increased air flow and the general quality of the units. The price point is also very attractive. The fan on this psu must face towards the inside of the case and if you have a 20 pin motherboard connection you can just tear the rubber on the last 4 from the corsair connector and set it apart. You get alot of zip ties with this psu and you're gonna need them because there are probably way more lines coming off this power supply than you'll ever need. The older 300 Watt psu's generated no noise and this psu generates no noise. Most of what I hear coming off the older e-machines model is the 32db case fan humming away. The newer model HP is almost silent even with a radeon 4650 graphics card in it. You can hook up the 4 pin connector to the motherboard wrong and not know it so what I do is test the computer on the bench very quickly before I close. You should see the case fan and the cpu fan come on and then you know everything's probably okay then hit the start button again to turn the computer off. If the fans don't come on something's wrong and the 1st thing I would check is that 4 pin connector to the motherboard because that's the likely culpret. I feel better about my computers now knowing they each have a quality 400 Watt atx power supply installed and 8 Watts an hour adds up over time.
