3 out of 5 stars Just OK   July 30, 2010
I bought this to upgrade my ASUS Eee PC 900 from 1gig to 2gig. It was real easy to install and the computer recognized the new chip immediately. I was hoping that it would help speed up this realy slow PC in opening Apps, but it's only a minor improvement. The PC starts Windows more quickly for sure. But most Apps are still slow to load, especially Windows Explorer. I suspect that the Solid State Hard Drive is to blame, as I've read that regular Hard Drives work faster with this upgrade.
I'd do it again, but just don't get your hopes up too high.
If you're not a techie and are afraid of doing this upgrade yourself, I'd get it anyway as it's practically a no-brainer. Kingston makes good stuff and the included instructions are easy to follow.
I hope this helps!

5 out of 5 stars Works on a 1.83GHz Core2 Duo Mac Mini   July 26, 2010
It works on a 1.83GHz Core2 Duo Mac Mini. I followed the instructions from appleinsider forums: [...]

Couple of helpful pointers:
1. Plastic putty knifes and plastic credit cards just don't cut it. Either get a metal putty knife or use a the metal ruler/scale I used.
2. You might damage some shielding inside the top cover when opening the case so try to be careful about how far you insert the knife
2. The four screws are of different lengths so make sure you remember which one goes where.
3. Don't freak out if you forget to connect the 2 wire plug on the front, it seem to be some kind of fan control and if not connected causes that fan to blow at full speed. So it would be obvious if you miss it.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent   July 6, 2010
My Lenovo ThinkPad was performing a little slow during multitasking operations with school work. I put this in and have had no more glitches or slow downs. Its a cheap way to boost a performance a little.

4 out of 5 stars Good buy, but not a huge noticeable difference.   June 27, 2010
We got this $12 dollars cheaper than what we found at Best Buy, so it was a good deal, easy to install and all, but it didn't make my computer as fast as I was hoping.
