Good Flash memory card. July 7, 2010 I have one Kingston 45x and this 133x cards. Can not notice any speed differences. But according to price obviously it is a good card.
you get what you pay for... June 28, 2010 i purchased several of these cards for use in a Nikon D300s & Nikon D700. while the transfer speed while downloading files to my computer is fine, the "in-camera" read speed is SLOW. it often takes 5-6 seconds to view an image in playback mode - which is no good while shooting on location and needing to have a baseline to make adjustments on the fly.
i cannot recommend for anything other than the casual shooter, unless you never use the back LCD to view your images. i have since upgraded to SanDisk 16GB cards and the difference in "read speed" is night and day.
Entire session lost June 24, 2010 I was very Hesitant to purchase an off brandb product but convinced myself that it would be just as good. I first had issues during a small shoot with friends; if I would try to snap 4-5 pictures back to back it wouldn't write correctly and one of the pictures would come out corrupt. Before emptying the card for the first time I had about 700 pictures (raw) with about 400 available. Of the 700 pictures about 25 were corrupt and just came up with a big X. I decided to give it one more shot so I re- formatted the card again. This time around I was about 800 pictures in and my pictures just vanished. Everything gone. The card would show as being 70% full but none of the pictures would show. I tried a card reader, USB from the computer, and yet another card reader and they were just not there.
I have since moved on to the extreme iii and am completely satisfied.
16 Compact Flash by Kingston June 10, 2010 I shoot video with my Canon 7D, and this has been a great way to capture that video without spending a fortune on a memory card. This is the second one I purchase.
Best bang for the buck going June 4, 2010 I shoot with a Canon 7D and a 40D previously to that. I now have 2 of these and both have worked flawlessly. First one for over 5,000 images so far and second for a modest 900 or so this past weekend. I use them for both stills and video. Don't let the card companies hype you into thinking you need 600x cards to shoot video.. people much smarter that me have done tests and calculations that prove you only need 50x-60x cards to sustain video recording even with 1080p. Some people have really struck out with these cards.. the only thing I can remind people of is to only format your cards in your camera!? That has proven to be the source of many problems for some people. These cards have done nothing but work for me so far. So whatever you do, DON'T buy these cards..... I want there to be inventory for the next time I need one... :)
Cheers John
